At the event Virtual Reality and Digital Visualization held by Internet Week Denmark, virtual reality and some of its many uses were presented by a number of different speakers. A mass of raised hands in the room spoke for themselves when Jacob Holst Mouritzen from Mindshare asked the audience how many in the room used ad blocking. Jacob did not seem surprised, “and most of us might even be marketers” he added. Ad blocking is a hot topic in the advertising business, because how do you advertise if people do not want ads?

Camilla Ley Valentin, Niels Henrik Sodemann and Martin Pronk have the solution to all those problems with 'Queue-it,' a system that was awarded a pioneer prize at Internet Week Denmark.

How it is like to be a volunteer for Internet Week Denmark

Internet Week Denmark 2015 has come to an end! We hope you all had as great a week as we did and that we will see all of you next year from May 9 - 13, 2016

We could not have done this without our great team of volunteers. They have worked really hard to make this festival a success and we would like to send them a big thank you.

How to rethink a concert venue with technology.

Denmark's largest dairy company, Arla Foods, brought together students, freelancers, entrepreneurs, geeks and happy amateurs to a Hackathon called 'The Digital Milkman'. At the Hackathon, the participants had the chance to hack Denmark's largest dairy company and of course, be rewarded for that.

Celebration, drinks, fun and a few awards brought together young students, professionals and experts at the Internet Pioneer Awards. This evening was dedicated to the people that influenced in a significant way the use of internet in Denmark. Three inspiring professionals were given praise for their contribution.

Digital establishment was on the agenda at Ridehuset. To discuss the concept and interpretation of digital establishment, representatives from Aarhus University, the IT business and Netværksgruppen were gathered to try predict the digital world in which a generation of children are raised.

Programmatic. Does it sound too complicated? Maybe. Because there are many components, formula, and targeting in it that not everyone knows. But don’t worry, programmatic is not a big problem. As a client you just need to know the key things about programmatic and talk to the right people, the specialist!

We caught up with a few attendes at Internet Week Denmark and asked them why they have chosen to participate in the Festival. The festival celebrating the Internet is taking place from 1st to 5th of June 2015 across the city of Aarhus.

Today, the average longevity for a company has fallen from 79 years to only 15 years. And, the average product life circle has fallen from 19 years to only 19 months. This demands for more from the companies, than just becoming digital.

Dansk Erhverv put focus on the Danes increasing shopping online. In 2014, Danes were spending around 80 mio dkr. on e-shopping. This amount is only increasing. Dansk Erhverv invited 3 speakers to present E-commerce from the angles; the sociologic, the practical and the theoretical.

Yesterday at IT-Byen Katrinebjerg, specialists in medicine and IT gave an interesting presentation about what telemedicine is and its future in Denmark. Attendees learnt from a case about the use of technology in complicated pregnancies and interacted with an expert panel.

The Internet of Things (IoTs) is the process of connecting household devices to the internet. With more digitalisation and innovation in information and communication technologies (ICTs), the IoTs is increasingly important.

That is the verdict after a panel debate took place Tuesday afternoon in Aarhussalen. Six committed participants, a humorous moderator and an energetic audience discussed Denmark’s place in the digital revolution.
